Roasting Green Chile
Green ChilE not Chili----that's how you know this soap maker is from New Mexico, she knows how to spell green chile!
Autumn is when green chile ripens in New Mexico, usually in October. You can't turn a corner without the aroma of roasting green chile wafting through the air...it's the indicator that seasons are changing. The smell, to me, is home. Comfort. Familiar. My roots.
This batch is AMAZINGLY WILD, the strongest scent I've ever used. For those who love a strongly scented bar of soap this is for you! Created with roasted green chile (yep roasted them ourselves), calendula and azafran petals. Smells like, you guessed it, roasting green chile. I hope you adore this bar as much as I loved creating it.
