Lucky

An In Memory Of soap for Lucky, the woods dog who adored life, he morning walks, his deck time soaking in the sun. He knew every where every snack was waiting for him from neighbors on the walk. Lucky was up for every adventure ahead for the day, or a cozy day in watching a movie. He was an excellent sous chef in the kitchen, eager to help clean any spill or pick up any crumb that may fall. Lucky was utterly silly, insanely tolerant of being the subject of his family paparazzi, wearer of many hats (literally) and lover of snow. Lucky didn't have a mean bone in his body, he loved and respected all creatures great and small. He welcomed everyone...he welcomed life. He is greatly missed...every single day.
 
His mom is Kim (you all know Kim, she's Opie's mom too) my Ride Or Die friend...Kim is my soaping partner, my life long friend and I have no words for the kind of person she is. She's been with me as each of my dogs have passed away. She is the type of person who doesn't ask why if you call at 2am, she is there. When I had to have hand surgery she said okay teach me, I'll be your hands. And from the months of practice pre-surgery, she began her journey of being by my side for soap making. We LOVED it. So we kept doing it, now it's been years since surgery and we still soap together a few times a month all year long. She is the best pet parent I know. She has wit and humor like I've never seen, she has no filter and it makes grocery shopping together a DELIGHT. She is incredibly smart, loving beyond measure, a devoted friend to us who are lucky enough to know her. I am grateful for this woman in my world Every. Single. Day. 
Her favorite season is autumn, thus the photo remains this season all year long. It's always autumn in her heart.
