Lumps of Coal

Tradition! It wouldn't be Christmas without lumps of coal soap to fill stockings appropriately...here at Little Cabin Soaps we've been making coal soaps for years. As the season comes around I question if I should continue making them, and inevitably someone reaches out asking if they'll be available. It's also THEIR tradition to give these every year...the thought of that not happening? I kick it into gear and create lumps of coal. They vary from season to season, but the idea that these are a must have for families around the nation warms my heart. From my heart to yours, here is the line up for this year.

Frankincense ~
Smells like: Early evening, the sun has eased it's relentless assault, giving way to a sweet gentle breeze.
Slightly woody, middle balsamic notes followed by a dry down of earth and spice. A scent all its own.
Feels like: Moonlight falls upon your face, above you the moon hangs with a shawl of stars draped around it.
Smooth on the skin, non-abrasive scrubbiness from activated charcoal. A great facial bar.
Made with: Activated charcoal, just two oils and yep real Frankincense essential oil.
 
Winter Frost ~ 
Smells like: Snow falling gently on a winter night.
Comforting notes of juniper, mint, cinnamon sticks, warm milk... cool and sweet at the same time.
Feels like: Peeking out the window in the morning to see if the first snow greets you.
Silky smooth on the skin with non-abrasive bits of activated charcoal occasionally felt. 
Made with:  Just two oils, activated charcoal and a touch of juniper essential oil.
 
Spiced Winter Cider ~ 
Smells like: The moment the lights dim before the performance begins.
Ripe pear, cinnamon sticks, nutmeg and clove, vanilla and baked apples.
Feels like: Stirring your coffee thoughtfully as you methodically study each page of a good book.
Silky smooth on the skin, an occasional non abrasive touch of activated charcoal can be felt.
Made with:  Just two oils - coconut and shorea, also known as Illipe butter. Activated charcoal and a hint of essential oil to this aromatic blend.
 
Midnight ~
Smells like: The  moment you catch the faint scent of something familiar... you are swept back in time.
Softly scented with notes of sweet incense, sandalwood, musk, pine and warm spices. The blend is rounded out with a hint of woodsmoke.
Ideal for those who like softly scented soap.
Feels like: Sitting in the study among old books, a dim lamp lights your reading.
Silky smooth on the skin, an occasional non abrasive touch of activated charcoal can be felt.
Made with:  Just two oils - coconut and shorea, also known as Illipe butter and activated charcoal.
